The Ghost of Bobby Dunbar

This podcast was found on This American Life

A very interesting story about a missing boy, an inquisitive granddaughter, a bunch of old news paper clippings, and finally, the truth.

Time 58:58

This was put together very well. The very opening is with a very old scrathcy sounding song about the kidnapping of the boy. The narrator leads the story and introduces each speaker and it flows very well.

The guitar in the background loops for quite a long while, but it is ok. In some areas, the background music is very low under the voices, but that too is effective because it fills the background with audio.

There are some areas where the intro music is used as background music for a few seconds. Again, I like the way the narrator intorduces the person that is about to speak.

Around 41 minutes, the intro music is slow and somber and that goes along with the mood of the content at that point. When talking about the divorce papers, there is a rattling of papers.

The podcast ends with the opening song playing in the background and credits of the people that spoke in the feature and also a commercial.

I enjoyed the podcast, it was a bit twisted with all of the information being given, but overall it was a good one. I like a good mystery.
